Childcare Services Manager
I have been a qualified nursery nurse for over 30 years. I went to Dunstable College to study childcare, and completed my NNEB in 1982. In 2013, I completed my BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies. I have had various roles in childcare, including in a hospital and as an NVQ Assessor with a national training company. I have worked at the Early Years Nursery since 2009. I love seeing the children progress and flourish; it gives me a great sense of fulfilment.

Two to Three’s Room Manager

I have worked at the Early Years Nursery since 2008 and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, and a Level 4 in Management. I have most recently trained as a Forest School leader, conducting sessions with the older children on a regular basis. Every day is different in this job; all the children are unique and I love meeting with the parents on a daily basis. I have worked with children of all ages: from babies through to pre-school; however I’ve found that my favourite age is 2-3 years, so my position as Room Manager brings me great joy.

Nursery Worker (Under Two’s Room)
I decided to train in childcare when my youngest child started in full time school, and I knew I had a lot to offer. I completed my training at MK College, and have worked at the Early Years Nursery for the past nine years. My favourite thing to do is exploring creative play with the children, and I love doing anything to do with paint, shaving foam and all of that fun stuff.

Under Two’s Manager

I have worked at the nursery since 2011, I have developed from nursery nurse, to manager of the Baby Room, to my current position. I wanted to work in childcare since I was young, and trained at MK College for my Level 3 qualification in Childcare. My favourite activity is reading stories with the children, as well as looking at different colours and textures and encouraging them to hear and learn new words. I am expecting my first baby in November 2017, so this has been excellent practice!

Baby/Toddler Room Worker

I decided to venture into childcare when my own two children got older. I felt that my personal experiences as a mum would come in handy, and I started my journey as a volunteer at the nursery. I studied and completed coursework as an outside leader, and got hands on experience at the nursery. I have now been here for seven years, and enjoy seeing children come in to us as shy babies, and leave ready for school with confidence. I love getting stuck in with messy play and role-play, supporting them as they explore their surroundings.
